VAVMedia, VAV Ventures Ms. Hwang is a trailblazer with a passion to build networks. She travels nationally and internationally consulting in the area of strategy, culture and organizational structure to strengthen business, government, ministry, and media leaders, while bridging the generations. As CEO of VAVMedia, she was instrumental in launching 24/7 Internet TV channels and broadcasting live events in the US, Asia and Europe. Currently, she is establishing strategic partners for different nations to establish Internet TV networks. She has invested in a portfolio of stocks and venture funds for years, but recently launched VAV Ventures to facilitate EB5 investments for Asian investors. As VP of Operations of The Call, Ms. Hwang coordinated and supervised most aspects of 10 multi-ethnic and multi-generational stadium gatherings of 20,000-100,000 people. From 1990-2001, Ms Hwang counseled and set up HIV Test Sites as a LCSW for LA County DHS and UCLA Medical Center. She has an EMBA from UCI, MSW from UCLA, and BA in Anthropology/Public Policy from Pomona College. Ms. Hwang co-convened an Asian American Roundtable and serves on the planning committee of the White House Briefing and Asian American Pacific Islander Faith Alliance. She serves on numerous boards. |

Asian American Studies Program, University of Maryland Janelle Wong is Director of the Asian American Studies Program and Associate Professor at the University of Maryland. She is the author of Asian American Political Participation and Democracy's Promise: Immigrants and American Civic Institutions. She received her PhD from the Department of Political Science at Yale University in 2001. She is currently writing a book on Asian American and Latino Evangelicals and their potential political impact. |

Communities in Motion Grace Weltman, President of Communities in Motion (www.communities-motion.com) has over 20 years of community development and nonprofit leadership experience. Her notable accomplishments include being the Founding Executive Director of the Child Care Alliance and establishing many collaborations and partnerships. Leveraging her experiences and expertise in public policy and nonprofit management, Grace has been building nonprofit capacity in the form of leadership development training and technical assistance. Grace has extensive community facilitation, nonprofit training, and community engagement experience which spans across her professional and volunteer experience, as well as across a variety of sectors. Grace received her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy & Management and her Master’s in Public Policy degrees from the USC. She active in various Christian ministries and attends Calvary Chapel South Bay. |

White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders Diana Yu serves as Advisor for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. In this capacity, Diana is working on building the technical assistance and capacity building components of the Initiative both internally and in working with its partners. Additionally, she has been working on multiple projects including the first Challenge Proposal and issues specific to the Insular Areas. She joined the Initiative from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) where she is an Education Program Specialist managing Grants to States under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She is also completing her doctoral degree in Special Education at the George Washington University under the “Leaders for System Change” program and has a M.Ed in Special Education and a B.S. in Psychology. |
