Hello!
We are excited to invite you as a sponsor for our upcoming 10th National Lighting the Community Conference & Awards Gala and Dinner during November 2 -4, 2017 at the Los Angeles City Hall in Los Angeles, California. Our conference theme will be Shining Our Light: Building Bridges, Building Communities, Building Trust. Past speakers have included speakers from the White House, U.S. Congress, and other government agencies as well as from corporate and faith communities.
This exciting national conference brings together policy makers, elected officials, corporations, pastors, media, community leaders and others devoted to community development. It provides a forum for collaboration, engagement and dialogue, as well as training/workshops to address key economic and social issues, such as housing, small business, mental health, immigration reform and human trafficking, amongst others. Churches and non-profits will be given training and overview of the many available funding, partnership and networking opportunities. In addition to the plenary sessions and workshops, other conference highlights include: Opening Reception Dinner, an opening reception to kick off our summit, the National Asian American Prayer Breakfast, an opportunity for faith and civic community leaders to pray for concerns that impact our country, and the Awards Gala & Dinner, recognizing those who have contributed to the advancement of the community. Please visit www.aapifaithalliance.org to get more information and to view our past conferences/summits.
For the past sixteen years, Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) soon to be Faith and Community Empowerment (FACE), has served as a light and bridge initially between the Korean American Community and the greater community. KCCD/FACE is now expanding to the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community at the local and national levels and launching the AAPI Faith Alliance, a national convening and collaboration of AAPI churches, faith-based and community organizations, and non-profits across the country to strengthen our engagement and partnerships with the greater community. KCCD/FACE has trained and empowered faith and nonprofit leaders to better serve their communities by building bridges, building capacity and building resources. In addition, KCCD/FACE has been a national leader in various arenas including housing and foreclosure counseling, leadership training, job training, computer literacy, Affordable Care Act outreach, and mental health awareness. To date, KCCD/FACE has garnered over 600 partners across the nation, ranging from the White House to Fortune 500 companies, local non-profit organizations, and key institutional stakeholders.
Your sponsorship and partnership will be crucial to help us continue to provide outstanding and comprehensive service and outreach to the community.
